The ADOs-2 is a semi-structured interview assessment that takes 1.5 hours and is for adults who would like to stagger the diagnosis process and receive a diagnosis based on ADOS-2 alone.

We offer a separate booking service as some employment providers may pay towards some of the services we offer, or some adults prefer to receive the results of ADOS-2 first when deciding whether to proceed to a combined assessment.

Some healthcare providers prefer a dual assessment of ADOS-2 and ADI-R and it is best to check with your local NHS or GP if a dual assessment is required. By booking the ADOS-2 and ADI-R separately you will have more financial control over your assessment process. If you have had an ADOS-2 assessment you will need to complete the ADI-R within one year.

ADOS-2 is a standardised set of activities and questions most likely to provide the specialist assessor with a good opportunity to observe Autistic Spectrum Disorder behaviours and traits.

The Autism Diagnostic Observations Schedule – ADOS-2 measures:

4. Restricted and Repetitive Behaviours

The ADOS-2 is suitable for children and adults from pre-verbal to verbal and non-verbal. Testing typically last 40 – 120 minutes.
